How to compile TupiTube Desk source code (Fedora 22)

1. Install Fedora packages

  • sudo dnf install ruby
  • sudo dnf install make
  • sudo dnf automake
  • sudo dnf install gcc
  • sudo dnf install gcc-c++
  • sudo dnf install zlib-devel
  • sudo dnf install libogg-devel
  • sudo dnf install libtheora-devel
  • sudo dnf install yasm

2. Compile & Install libav

3. Install Qt5

  • Download the Qt installer from http://www.qt.io/download-open-source/
  • In my case, the installer file is called: qt-unified-linux-x64-2.0.2-2-online.run
    • chmod 755 qt-unified-linux-x64-2.0.2-2-online.run
    • ./qt-unified-linux-x64-2.0.2-2-online.run
  • Follow the wizard and pay attention to the path where Qt has been installed. In my case: /home/user/Qt
  • To ensure that your system is using this Qt version, and not other, you have to redefine your PATH variable from the console where you're compiling all the software required. In my case:
    • % export PATH=/home/user/Qt/5.5/gcc_64/bin:$PATH
  • To check that everything is ok, if you run the command “qmake -version” you'll see an output like this in your console:
  • qmake -version

QMake version 3.0

Using Qt version 5.5.0 in /home/user/Qt/5.5/gcc_64/lib

4. Compile & Install Quazip

- Download the latest version of Quazip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/quazip/

  • tar xvfz quazip-0.7.3.tar.gz
  • cd quazip-0.7.3
  • qmake “PREFIX=/usr/local” “LIBS+=-lz”
  • make
  • sudo make install

5. Compile & Install TupiTube

6. If everything goes well, run TupiTube Desk!

  • /usr/local/tupitube.desk/bin/tupitube.desk &
